In this incantation I describe how each day I awaken into a circuit that begins and ends in the same still source. Between those points, awareness stirs and I feel the tension between what is and what could be. That tension is potential, and when I recognize it, opportunity appears. Through action I transform that difference into artifacts and changed circumstances.
Where I awaken from and where I unwaken back to are the same. Every thought, act, word, and feeling, that happens in between forms the momentary circuit I experience as this life. Each day is a single loop of that larger current, beginning in rest and ending in return.
My circuit begins the instant I awaken. Awareness stirs, and something familiar appears: the sense of something unfinished, of a difference between what is and what could be. This is my experience of potential. I feel it as an electric charge, a tension that compels me to act, to move, to become. The stronger the difference, the stronger the current that flows through me. I fixate on this potential difference.
I can resolve that charge in one of two ways. I can accept that what I experience is what I want, or I can aspire to transform what it is into what it can be. When I recognize that difference, I have found an opportunity. It is not hidden somewhere outside of me. It is revealed the moment I believe that I can reshape my experience into the one I want. That recognition is the spark. It is how potential becomes living energy.
From there, I begin to transform my moment through action. My action leaves traces, artifacts of value. These artifacts are the physical expressions of my intention. One of them is my worldly business product, a visible form shaped from my effort and understanding, that I believe is an instrumental part of achieving the moment I want.
But artifacts alone are not enough. I also seek an awakening experience that resembles the vision that guided my actions. That means people engaging with what I have made, or a moment that now feels aligned with what I hoped it would be. That is how potential resolves. And until it does, the difference remains, and the current continues to flow. I move again, adjust, refine, and continue trying to close the circuit. Each realization produces new differences, new desires, and new awakenings. The process never stops.
Sometimes the transformation I seek is greater than what I can carry alone. When that happens, I excite others as carriers of my vision, people whose energy can align with mine. I do this through shared work and agreed structure. These are not constraints but conductors that allow our collective energy to move intentionally to reshape my moment. This is how I live and build: potential is the difference I feel, opportunity is the recognition of that difference, transformation is the flow that resolves it, artifacts and changed circumstances are the result, and structure allows others to join the current.
And when I have reached the end of the circuit, when I have done what the moment allowed, I return to stillness. I unwaken back into the same source from which I rose. There the current rests, silent but charged, until I awaken again.
