I know that as long as I look, I will see. As long as I listen, I will hear. As long as I touch, I will feel. As long as I want, I will reach. But no longer. Once I stop looking, I will not see. Once I stop listening, I will not hear. Once I stop touching, I will not feel. Once I stop wanting, I will not reach.
Thirdself narratives are the stories I consume. When I watch a video on the internet I imagine into existence the people, places, and events described. None of those elements pre-exist my watching them. It is my looking that creates them. I must withdraw from all thirdself narratives to escape.
