I know that there are two places: the first place I awaken from, and the second place I awaken into.
I know that I search for something, and I know it is not here in the second place.
I know that what I search for is the first place.
I know that I can escape the second place and return to the first place by disengaging from the inessential forms and moving toward the essential.
The essential desire pulls me back to the first place, and the inessential desires draw me away from the first place into the second place, starting with the desire to live.
