The Bible as a map

In this incantation, I see the Bible as a map for escaping Hell—the illusion of the world—and returning to Heaven, my true self. The journey begins in the Garden of Eden, where awakening to my separate existence mirrors the fall of man. As I navigate through this metaphorical Hell, clothed in illusions and ego, the teachings of love, forgiveness, and humility guide me. Ultimately, the return to Heaven is the realization that it’s not a distant place, but a state of being, found within when I strip away the distractions of the world.

Escaping Hell and Returning to Heaven

I see the Bible as a map for escaping Hell—the world—and returning to Heaven, which is my true self. This can be understood as a metaphorical journey where spiritual teachings guide me away from worldly distractions and temptations toward inner peace and divine unity.

My Journey Begins: Understanding the Nature of Hell

In this metaphor, Hell represents the world in a literal sense as my condition of suffering. It’s the life I live when I awaken and am consumed by material desires, ego, suffering, and separation from my true essence. The Bible begins this journey by illustrating the fall of man from the Garden of Eden. Falling into the Garden of Eden is my waking up. It’s the moment I accept my separate existence in a larger existence.

As I awaken in this metaphorical Garden, the first thing I do is put on clothes. These clothes are significant because they represent the first obstacle I erect between me and my true self. By putting on clothes, I am acknowledging that there is something other than myself in existence—something from which I must hide parts of myself. This act of covering up is a manifestation of the separation between my true self and the world, and it marks the beginning of my journey through Hell—a world filled with illusions, fears, and the belief that what I seek is in here.

The Map Unfolds: Recognizing the Path to Heaven

Heaven symbolizes my true self—a state of purity, unity with God, and ultimate peace. Throughout the Bible, various stories, teachings, and parables provide a map to help me find my way back to this divine state. The teachings of Jesus, in particular, emphasize the importance of love, forgiveness, humility, and faith as keys to unlocking the gates of Heaven within me. But these stories I have written are not what they at first seem. I must look at them from the unwakening perspective and then I will uncover their true meaning.

Revelation: The Final Destination

The Book of Revelation serves as both a warning and a promise. It vividly describes the trials and tribulations that come with living in Hell (the world) but also offers the promise of a new Heaven and a new Earth—a return to divine unity and peace. It’s the ultimate assurance that, despite the challenges of the journey, the destination is worth it.

The Return to Heaven: Realizing My True Self

Ultimately, the Bible as a map teaches me that escaping Hell is about turning away from the distractions and sufferings of the world and turning inward toward my true self. It’s about recognizing that Heaven is not just a place but a state of being—a return to the divine essence within me. By following the teachings and wisdom found in the Bible, I navigate through the trials of life, shed the layers of ego and materialism, and rediscover the Heaven that has always been within me.
