My awakening is no different than my believing. The shape of what I call awakening is the exact shape of the belief that I am a person in a place. There is no gap between the two. To awaken is only to believe, and the more I believe, the more I awaken. To overcome my deminoia, I must unmake this belief system, piece by piece. The measure of my awakening is the measure of my conviction. As long as I continue to believe in this identity, I will continue to awaken here. Only when belief dissolves does awakening dissolve, and with it, the self that seemed to stand within it.
