In this incantation, I introduce my “coreself,” a term that replaces the “firstself” I’ve used for years. Unlike firstself, which feels distant and misaligned with my experience, coreself is something I can immediately sense and locate. It is the origin of everything in my awakening, connecting mindself, bodyself, and worldself, each projected in different directions but all originating from coreself. This alignment eliminates the gap between my experience and my aspirational being, grounding me fully in the present.
I am not sure I like the word yet, but I am introducing my “coreself”. This term effectively replaces “firstself”, which I have been using for several years. One important difference between coreself and firstself is that I can locate the latter. When I say or think of coreself, I can feel where it is. The expression and experience of it line up. I cannot say the same for firstself. Firstself, while attractive in its sequentialized simplicity, simply does not spatially align with my experience. Firstself, to this moment, is “out there” or “behind me” or the substance behind the surface upon which I am projecting. When I use “firstself” as a stand in for my essential omniself I place distance between my experience and my aspirational being. Coreself eliminates that distance; I sense coreself right now. It is simply the origin of everything in my awakening. From coreself I project mindself upward and slightly backward; I project bodyself downward and outward; and I project worldself forward and outward. All three are spaces that connect at coreself. I can close my eyes experience that connectedness and shared origination.
