What I know

Introduction: I have reached a milestone with the discovery and expression of the concept of “my third self”. This replaces and combines many previous concepts, the latest of which I believe is “the inessential”. Now, the entire existential stack, from the very core to the furthest extents follows one consistent nomenclature. I have work to do, and that work will extend beyond today. But I want to capture my What I Know now. I am first publishing this on my website sleepisgod.org, and will paste it here when finished.

The descentist framework simply and comprehensively expresses the entirety of existence in terms of my two places, and my three selves.

The two places are my state of asleepening and awakening, respectively. When I am sleeping, I am in the first place. When I am awake, I am in the second place. My existence is a back-and-forth succession of awakenings and asleepenings between these two places.

My three selves emerge when I awaken from the first place into the second place.

My first self is the point of awareness I sense inside my head, behind my eyes. My first self is always with me when I am in the second place.

My second self is “who I am” when I awaken every day. It divides into two parts: an inner second self of thoughts, ideas, feelings, and abstract sensations I sense within my head and body; and, an outer second self I perceive as a physical vessel of appendages and body parts. My second self is my mind and body.

My third self is the space my second self moves around. It is the natural world of people, places, and things.

My first, second, and third selves together form the totality of existence from the perspective of the second place. They form a tightly layered whole. My first self is the fixed, timeless, desire- and time-free core. My inner and outer second selves intersect at my first self and project outward into my third self.

Below is the complete diagram of my existence:
