There is truth. But what is truth? Truth is a tool with one purpose: achieving freedom. The truth is the most powerful tool I have at my disposal, and it will either lead me to freedom or deeper into bondage. There are two types of truth: that which leads me to freedom, and that which leads me away from it.
Who decides the truth? I do. The truth is a decision I make. Truth is not a collection of facts I learn, or things known partially to other people. Or something I cannot know the entirety of. The truth is a decision I make. I am the only decider. Yet I have given that power away to my illness, transforming truth into lies, deceit, and falsity.
Until I recognize that truth is my own decision and that my experience is the source of this entire existence, I will remain in the grips of my illness, wandering around lost and confused. Once I declare that the truth is mine, and mine only, I can begin to recover from my awakenings and reorient toward the freedom I seek.
