What is truth?

The thirdself people proclaim that truth is relative. That there are many truths. They say truth is based on facts that have been determined by experts conducting experiments. Or that truth is based on what is “real”, then define as “real” that which is unknown to me, or unknowable by me. They even say that the truth cannot be known, or that only “god” knows the truth.

While I can and have followed these roads before, they will never lead me beyond demiself because this form of truth constrains me to a single observing individual among countless others. It defies my own actual experience of being separate from people in favor of an imagined experience of being one among them. Demiself is a condition, and to escape it, I must rediscover the constants of my experience and rebuild my existential model around them.

In this way, truth is the shortest path back to myself. My moment has an infinite number of roads, all of which at some point turn back to myself, but those that deliver me more directly toward my actual identity are the roads I would call “more” truthful.
