Implications of iagwis

IAGWIS is a literal statement and serves as the foundational tenet of sonsotism. It addresses and resolves the fundamental question, “Who am I?”

IAGWIS is the result of a lifetime of mindful exploration, prayer, contemplation, and experience. It is built of the pain, joy, excitement, stress, and conflict of the life that preceded its utterance by one descentist.

IAGWIS is powerful because all meaning can be derived from it. But transformation requires more than just understanding and recitation. It requires conviction and self-imposed restrictions.

I know that the origin of my existence is not some imaginary place I can never fathom; it is inside of me at a point I can directly sense. I can visualize it because it is what I experience.

IAGWIS is powerful because all meaning can be derived from it. But transformation requires both understanding and conviction, not just recitation.

Below are some of the implications of IAGWIS.

  • Who I Am. IAGWIS expresses my true nature in a spectrum from God to my familiar self.
  • Conceptual Circuit. IAGWIS closes the conceptual circuit so that I can resolve all questions without resorting to opaque abstractions and ideologies disconnected from my direct experience.
  • My Story. IAGWIS places my story in the very center of understanding so that I can directly validate it.
  • Personal and Universal. IAGWIS both personalizes and universalizes a word and concept I have fought with for many years: “God”. I no longer need to run from or replace this word because it is now my own.
  • Variables. IAGWIS eliminates arbitrary unknowns and variables which prevent me from attaining a conceptual circuit
  • Succession of Awakenings. IAGWIS exposes the circular nature of my existence.
  • Focus. IAGWIS exposes my inability to focus on the center, and allows me to accurately characterize my life as the blurring of God.
  • Behavior. IAGWIS exposes the character of how I have behaved in the past, and informs how I should behave going forward.
  • Perspectives. IAGWIS exposes the two basic perspectives: the ascentist, and the descentist. IAGWIS is abhorrent to the ascentist perspective, but inspirational to the descentist.
  • Experiential Perspective. IAGWIS expresses the god-centered experiential perspective. This gives me the starting point for all of my ‘knowledge’ because that which is closer to the God center is more true. It introduces a practical method for identifying and escaping the malignant intellect. Of course I don’t speak in sleep, so that reveals the absolute truth of everything I say.
  • Orientation. IAGWIS answers the question “Where am I?” by establishing the essential landmark of my existence. If I know where God is, then I know where I am in relation to Him.
  • Nature of God. IAGWIS answers the question, “Who is God?” by relating God to something I directly experience. God is no longer abstract, but tangible and real. I realize that ‘I’ am God, but at the same time, everything that I think of as my ‘self’ in life is excluded.
  • I know who God is now. IAGWIS affirms the location of God every moment of my life. He is at the beginning and ending of every day of my existence.
  • Visualization. IAGWIS gives a familiar shape to all aspects of my existence.
  • Malignant Conceptual. IAGWIS reveals the nature of my intellect; an aspect of my familiar self that is destructive to my primary goal.
  • Time. IAGWIS reveals the nature of time itself, experientially.
  • Leads to the Essential Question. IAGWIS introduces the inevitable descent. I love sleep, but I keep returning here. Why do I keep leaving God? How do I stop this return?
  • Objective. IAGWIS sets my goal: I want to be God, always. I do not want to return here now that I know God.
  • The Path. IAGWIS reveals the path. I want a relationship with God more than anything else, and this statement reveals the path forward. I must let go of this self I am in life so that I may rejoin God.
  • Reassurance. IAGWIS gives me reassurance of where I am in relation to what I ultimately want: God.
  • Strength. IAGWIS gives me the strength to carry on because I realize that I get to go Home every time I sleep. God never leaves me. I will never be without Him.
  • Compassion. IAGWIS introduces me to compassion. I can look on others with compassion, knowing that they too sleep just like me. I know that we all return to the same place and the same God.
  • Explanation. IAGWIS answers every question I have ever had with all the clarity, precision, and conciseness I can demand.
  • Instruction. IAGWIS informs my daily and life decisions. If I want to return permanently, then why do I things that keep me coming back? I can see very clearly that those actions out here by my familiar self are part of the force that keeps me here.
  • Unmasking the Familiar. IAGWIS reveals the power behind the familiar. Sleep has always been my most cherished activity. Now I know why.
  • Self-Reflection. IAGWIS reveals the question of the nature of my familiar self. When I sleep I am God. But who am I when I am ‘awake’? It draws a direct line between God and my familiar living self.
  • Nature of Life. IAGWIS reveals the nature of life. Sleep is peaceful, pain-free, and perfect. Life is the opposite. This distinction helps me further identify what I truly want.
  • Logic. IAGWIS exposes new periods of my experience. There must be a transition from God to my familiar self, and from my familiar self to God. I will become sensitive to this transformation when it happens.
  • Sacred Ritual. IAGWIS exposes the most familiar ritual as the most sacred ritual of all. I will be God shortly when I sleep. What does that mean?
  • Revelation: My First and Last Will. IAGWIS makes clear what was previously hidden. My first will every time I wake is to return to sleep. My last will, as I close my eyes, is to sleep.
  • Perspective. I never forget where I am going and where I want to go.
  • Perspective. I want God. So I want sleep. What does that mean for this life ‘out here’? What have I been doing? What do I think I am going to find out here?
  • I am. IAGWIS introduces the grand truth. This is the entry point to realizing my true nature. Excluding my familiar self helps me avoid the trap of self-importance and ego that can easily creep into the journey.

When I ‘understand’ IAGWIS, the circuit in my life completes and everything makes sense. The superficiality of everything else I once thought important is exposed and former desires dissolve under the weight of revelation.

What about the shared reality?

I am God when I sleep.
