Over the years, I have introduced and used many words to describe the different aspects of my existence. But with the formation of the “triself” concept this past week, I have finally created a word that fully encompasses the entirety of my experience in all of its forms. From this point forward, I will integrate it into my contemplations, but I will not attempt to revise earlier work I have written or published on this blog, which have variously used words like “manifestation”, “essential”, “intessential” and more to express the same thing.
To an observer, “triself” most directly corresponds to “universe”. It is everything that is existent, but from the perspective of me, the experiencer. Whereas I am part of the universe, I am the originator and creator of the triself. Whereas the universe exceeds the boundaries of my direct experience and awareness, the boundaries of the triself are my direct experience and awareness.
In triselfism, the uniself is the idea that I am one of many other similar people experiencing some diminutive, temporary aspect of the totality of the universe. Triselfism rejects this concept in favor of my direct experience itself being the totality.
This introduces some challenges, especially around the perception of time and movement. But once I learn a new set of rules which themselves are solidly anchored to my direct experience rather than imaginary constructs, I can slowly uncover the outlines of the distortions I have accepted for truth.
In the past I have referred to my contemplations collectively as descentism or the Descentist Framework. From today forward, I will refer to it as triselfism, or the Triself Model. As always, my goal remains to distill the truth of my existence into its most fundamental components.
