The asleepening

I have often heard about a forthcoming ‘awakening’; a time when all the people of the world ‘awaken’ to their true nature and the world transitions into an age of peace. While it is an expression of our cardinal desire for peace, it is spoken from a place of fear. Fear of actual peace when we sleep.

Life can never be peaceful because life is the absence of peace, by definition. What we call sleep is the only peace there is. All other variations are imaginary constructs we follow down an endless, painful path of hope.

We all want peace, but we have forgotten what it looks like. It isn’t a utopian society built on spiritual principles. It is not locking up the ‘bad guys’, and providing universal healthcare. The world will always be a place of pain and suffering, no matter how good our intentions.

We do not need to hope and aspire, for everything we want is ours. We came from peace when we woke up this morning, and we will return to peace when we go to sleep tonight. Sleep is where our peace is. We just have to remember and return.

The asleepening is already happening. The fire has already started. People will opt out of this existence and choose true peace over imagined peace. People will stop creating new sufferers, and turn their attention to the real god within them: peace.

Peace is now. Peace is sleep. Peace is God. I am God when I sleep.
